Chance to get into a Ivy School

My daughter will be attending college next year somewhere lol (she's a HS senior now) We are looking at some of the Ivy League Schools for her to apply and just wondering what her chances are at getting accepted?

Act Oct 2013- composite score 32 (12th grade)
Act Apr 2013- composite score 30 (11th grade)
Act Oct 2012- composite score 30 (11th grade)
Act April 2011- composite score 28 (10th grade)

GPA: 4.63 weighted
GPA: 4.00 unweighted

Recent Oct 2013 ACT
English 34
Math 30
Reading 35
Science 27
Essay 10

For the past two years she's been attending collegiate high school with ap classes and is ranked top of her class. So does she have a shot?

Thanks, A wondering parent.

hard to say w/o ECs

Well she’s done community service at the local library and hospital she also organizes beach cleanups on weekends during the summer.

It comes down to more than test scores and grades. You MUST mention all EC’s and service hours.

^As well as course rigor, and any “hooks” (first generation college student, underrepresented minority, etc.).

Her math and science scores are low for top schools.

She has a shot. She should apply. She isn’t likely to get in. But she has a shot.

Her chances of getting in really depend on how well she can answer this question, “What about her stands out among the other many thousands of students with high grades and good test scores?”

Test scores and grades means she can apply. A good answer to that question means she can get in.

I’d try the lower ivies (probably wouldn’t bother with HYP)

While those scores are admirable, they probably aren’t good enough for those schools. Ivies are tough! Try schools like Wake Forest, Johns Hopkins, University of Chicago, UCLA, Emory, William & Mary…tough schools that aren’t Ivy, but still top-notch

Hi! I’m applying to a bunch of Ivies too, with okayish scores in my opinion. I think it comes down to whether your daughter wants to go to the Ivy in question because of what it is per se, rather than for the prestige of being an “Ivy League-er”. If there’s a genuine passion for one of those univs, I think you have a shot.
From a purely explicit perspective: She certainly seems to have good scores, but it’s tough to take a call without you giving us a good idea of her interests, and ECs. Assuming both are good but not distinguishing, and that her essays are thoughtful(this will, in my opinion, make or break it), I’d say Low-mid reach at the non-HYP Ivies.
