<p>Hey y'all~
So I've accepted my CAP offer and decided to go to UTA for my freshman year. The whole point for me to do this CAP thing is because I REALLY REALLY want to get into Mccomb business school in UT Austin, and really hope that I can make it through sophomore transfer (which means transfering from UTA directly to Mccomb)
So my question is: Is tranfering through CAP considered internal or external transfer? Do I have a good chance to make it? ( I can garantee a pretty decent GPA and meet all the requirement)
ps, Has anybody been in the same situation? Transfering to Mccomb directly through CAP? I'd love to hear ur story:)
I appreciate any help from y'all~:D</p>
<p>this type of transfer is pretty rare.
I don’t think CAP was such a good idea to transfer into McCombs, but you will have a good chance if you get a 4.0 and you’re VERY involved in business type activities in and out of UTA. Make sure you finish all the indicator courses and stay very focused. good luck!</p>
<p>also its an external transfer and its McCombs not McComb btw</p>
<p>They actually advise you to go to another B school, instead of doing CAP. If you complete Cal 1/Cal 2 and Micro/MacroEconomics with at least a 3.8 you have a good shot. So basically complete the indicator courses with a high GPA and your in. </p>
<p>If you cant get into Mccombs after CAP you could try and do and internal transfer. You need around a 3.6 to transfer in that way.
Good Luck</p>
<p>Thanks alot for ur advice!!! Pls excuse my typos since I’m not a native english speaker lol. I’ve been in US for only 2yrs:)
Yea I guess I just have to go along with it…since I already accepted CAP and declined other schools. I will really try hard:)</p>
<p>just complete the courses and you should have a good shot</p>
<p>You can always do an internal transfer to McCombs once you’re in at UT.</p>
<p>Thanks again y’all!
Yes I will certainly get all the required courses done and hopefully have a perfect GPA by the time I transfer to UT.
For some reason I just want to get in Mccombs early as possible~so that I can stop worring about where I would end up to be if I failed to get in:(</p>
<p>always have a plan b c and d just incase</p>
