Looking good for GTech. Don't know anything about the other schools.

You said your weighted GPA was 3.65. Is that UC weighted or school weighted?

UCB-Slight reach? Nice ACT score but GPA is kind of low
UCLA-Same as UCB
UCSD-Match
UCSB-Match
UCI-Match/Almost safety
UCD-Match
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo-Match/Safety

Berkeley: reach
UCLA: reach
UCSD: slight reach
UCSB/UCI/UCSB: match
Cal Poly: safe match - safety
UVA: reach

Your GPA is a bit too low for Berkeley and UCLA, who are not very forgiving with a weak GPA, even if your ACT is good. The rest of your application is strong.

Thanks guys, any other opinions?

buuuump!!!

BUMPING again, here are the majors im applying at each:

'engineering' means im not sure which engineering. also, most UCs have two major options so thats why i list two

UCB - undeclared
UCLA - undeclared
UCSD - bioengineering/biology
UCSB - engineering/biology
UCI - engineering/business
UCD - engineering/biology
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo - electrical engineering
Georgia Institute of Technology - biomedical engineering
University of Virginia - undeclared

I believe you have a good shot at Cal Poly and GIT even though they are engineering majors. I agree with the others since what major you pick doesn't matter to the UCs if it isn't engineering.

UCB/UCLA: Reach
UCSD: Slight Reach-Reach
UCI/UCSB/UCD: Match-Slight Reach
Cal Poly SLO: Match

I think you got a good shot at mid tier UC's (UCI/UCSB/UCD) and Cal Poly SLO, however your UC GPA is simply to low for UCSD, UCLA, UC Berkeley. Very very few people get into these schools with UC GPA's below 3.7. Their (UCSD, UCLA, UC Berkeley) GPA averages for admits are all well over 4.0. Best of luck!

Agreed. I think some 95% of Berkeley admits had higher than a 3.8 or so...

I realize that, that's why I'm just hoping I get into one of those schools, even though there's a low chance. But no hurting in just applying I figure. I really want to get into UCSD though. :(

3.65. Is that UC weighted or school weighted?
