Double check that applying EA to a school does not violate your ED contract (for some schools it will). You did not take a lot of honors/AP classes which may hurt you (this will depend on if there are a lot of honors/AP classes offered at your school). There are some variables that will effect your odds. Assuming you took the hardest classes offered, have great essays and recommendations and have spent a lot of time participating in your ECs I think you have a decent shot.

i spend about 8hrs+ on music a week and am pretty involved at school
as for the difficulty of my classes: my school doesnt offer a ton of APs unfortunately (latin etc/world history etc)
but i DID take every honors social studies/history and english class available and i took or have taken all AP classes in those subjects

the only regular classes i took were math and science (excluding ap stats and honors bio) - i just do NOT like those subjects so i hope the fact that i dod not take AP Calc/Chem or whatever means im screwed

Personally I don’t think disliking a subject is a valid reason not to take a more challenging class (unless you are truly awful at the subject), I dislike social studies, but I have still taken honors or honors/AP social studies every year. That being said it is hard to predict if that will effect things since the schools are so competitive and who really knows which little things matter and which don’t.

The music EC is great, a strong commitment to an EC is always a good thing. Personally I would recommend discussing it in your applications and/or interviews if possible.

thats fair artsygirl13 - but my dislike for math (including the math involved in science) is severe. extreme even. i think it was more a matter if principal that i didnt take honors chem/etc… and if that hurts me at least i can say i enjoyed the classes.
but yeah the whole process just seems so random.

Great job! I like your chances at both. Would like to hear more about the ethics of applying EA and ED. Sounds like it is possible but may be frowned upon. Perhaps some with more experience will comment.

I would probably die of happiness if I was accepted to either institution. IDK if that addresses any ethical questions raised, but its my logic lol
