Any help is appreciated. I visited both of these schools over the summer, but fell in love with UVa. Thanks in advance!

Just going to be honest with you, U.Va is very difficult to get into OOS. Your SATs are good, but not great. You don’t have very many AP courses. Why is that? If you haven’t taken advantage of all your school has to offer, the admissions officers will know. You have excellent ECs. However bear in mind most people who are looking at U.Va are excellent. If you were in state you would have a great shot, but OOS chances are a lot slimmer. Don’t get discouraged though, because many students just like you get in every year! Best of luck!
P.S don’t send that Lit SAT 2 either. 66th percentile scores won’t look good on you.

Honeslty your SAT is high enough that UVA instate would be a safety. OOS match. Your in easy

Thanks for the chancing, I really appreciate it. To address the lack of AP Courses, I moved to Ohio my junior year and there were only two courses available to me at the time: english and government. I was unable to fit English into my schedule so that I could take Honors Chemistry. There is only one senior AP Class that I am not taking: Human Geography. Also, should I list my job or all of the EC’s on my app? I only have room for ten.

I would be sure to list the job! I imagine you would want to point out that you are a certified life guard, if you are. After looking at your EC’s I’d drop the Zoo-Boo or consolidate all your volunteer hours. Maybe the Model UN and the science thing could go in the major awards spot since you received awards.

I’m not sure about UVA OOS. Your scores are great but they seem to admit only top 10% of class rank and 80% of admitted students are in state. I was just looking at Georgetown the other day and I think you have a good chance. Good luck. You’ll do well anywhere!

Nice to see you again Osprey! You commented on my UVA post a little over a month ago.

All i have to say is gl with the commonapp
