Chance: USC

<p>I've always been skeptical of these chance threads. But as I'll be applying to colleges soon, curiosity got the better of me. </p>

<p>Major: Computer Science </p>

<p>GPA: 3.6uw/4.1W (freshman GPA bringing me down, 4.3 in sophomore, 4.6 in junior year)
AP/Honors: 11 from sophomore to senior year
SAT: 2110 (M770/W690/CR650)
ACT: Will take in September
Subject Tests: Will take 2 in October</p>

<p>Essays & ECs: Shows great leadership, tenacity, and initiative. One about overcoming hardship, what I learned from it, and how I helped others with what I learned.</p>

<p>My Weaknesses: Bad pre-sophomore grades. (some Cs and Bs). I'm Asian too, if that means anything lol</p>

<p>ONE QUESTION: Will I have a better chance of getting into USC if I apply to something from the Letters of Science? I know the school of engineering is typically harder to get into for most colleges like UCLA and Berkeley. </p>

<p>I actually have the same sat score and similar grades. I also did better each year from Freshman to Junior and got 1 C Freshman year. Not knowing your ECs, I would say USC is a little bit of a stretch, but applying to letters of science would help. Good luck and please chance me back!</p>
