I would say that your chances at Duke are pretty good if your weighed GPA of 4.17 is good relative to that of others in your class.

Even though your school doesn't rank, I think counselors still have to give the highest GPA in the class.

Are you applying early?

you really need to raise those SAT scores if you want a chance at Duke!

I need to raise my SATs? haha i hope that was a joke.

Also I dont think my school gives out any information about class ranks, not even the highest GPA, my school is very passionate about not giving that kind of information out because it promotes unneccessary competition between peers. But a LOT of students from my school apply to Duke so Im sure DUke will have some idea about my standing. Which i personally have no idea it wouldn't be under top 20% but it could be up to top 5%

Did you write down your SAT score correctly? It is out of 2400. With your unweighted GPA and SAT scores you have a slim chance of getting into Duke. I would look at other schools.

I think she meant 1560 on M+CR and 2300 on M+CR+W. Those scores are pretty incredible if that's what you meant. I think you have a fairly good chance if you can write a quality enough essay and ace the interview which would allow the committee to look past a possibly weak GPA (?)

A 3.47 UW GPA indicates a track record of about half A's and half B's. For an Asian-American candidate, I suspect that's going to be problematic, no matter how difficult the courseload.

sorry, i thought you meant that your SAT score was 1560 out of 2400!
