you have good ECs, its just that your grades and SAT scores are low.

if you were a recruited athlete that would be great, you'd be in for sure...sat's are good (laurastar i think you misinterpreted her sat's, she has a 2300/2400), grades are a little low. extracurriculars are ok but not super amazing...capitalize on your urm status and financial situation in your essays. tie it into your extracurriculars or something. (tutoring at esl, korean diversity thing, etc.). get good recs, show tons of interest.

ps...govt is a popular major, you might want to consider applying to another one that truly interests you as well but that is more unique to cornell (and smaller)

Asian is not URM! I wish it were, haha. Your chances look good to me, though.

well ok, but they are still a "minority"...they may not be underrepresented haha

Well rounded, sorta in the same boat as me, low GPA and good/very good SATs

I'd say good chances

I'm confused. Does it say 1560/2300?!

Meaning 1560 out of 1600
and 2300/2400.. Laur probably misread

Thanks for the chances guys! Really appreciate it

But hehe personally i think my SAT scores amazing but of course im a bit biased :p

Question: For Cornell I was acutally considering some sort of History major related to government do you have any suggestions.
