<p>if you were a recruited athlete that would be great, you'd be in for sure...sat's are good (laurastar i think you misinterpreted her sat's, she has a 2300/2400), grades are a little low. extracurriculars are ok but not super amazing...capitalize on your urm status and financial situation in your essays. tie it into your extracurriculars or something. (tutoring at esl, korean diversity thing, etc.). get good recs, show tons of interest.</p>
<p>ps...govt is a popular major, you might want to consider applying to another one that truly interests you as well but that is more unique to cornell (and smaller)</p>
