(not sure if I would get 150 points for leadership... I feel like I should)

Over 200 hours of community service (do the hours have to be for the same place? Because I have around 70 hours for three different organizations)

Income was under $40,000 last year, is slightly over $40,000 this year. However, I'm in a two person household (just live with my mom)

Can anyone estimate the point cutoff for next year? I believe I have around 7800 points...

You should be fine. I say this because my stats were similar to yours (with slightly higher SAT/ACT scores, higher SAT II scores, and more volunteer hours…but just slightly) and I got accepted.

List ALL the community service hours you completed, they look at all of them as a TOTAL (so various sources of volunteering or not, list all of them). You’re probably already aware of this, but UCSD has a SET formula of acceptance, and they calculate GPA, SAT scores, leadership opportunities, and volunteer hours, etc. by a set rubric to see if each applicant makes the cutoff for that year.

Thanks robbins! Does anyone think I’ll get the 150 points for leadership? I’m especially worried because the school newspaper is technically a “class” since we get a grade (albeit, it is after school).
