Hey! I'm a junior living in Florida and I really want to go to FSU, so I was wondering if you guys could chance me!

UW GPA: 3.36
W GPA: 3.93

I have taken all of my core classes as honors, and have taken AP World, AP Psych, and AP Lang. On AP World, I got a 2. I think on AP Psych I got a 3 or 4, and AP Lang a 4 or 5.

ACT: 28
SAT: 1190/1920 (that's with a 530 on math, I'm retaking this Saturday)

I've been in Key Club through high school (VP soph & junior years and secretary next year)
Juniorettes soph, junior, & next year (going to run for an office position)
Italian Club through high school
Fellowship of Christian Athletes this year & next year
NHS next year

I have 75 recorded community service hours (25 with YMCA, 50 with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and other hours with Key Club and Juniorettes that I never recorded...

AND (I think this is what will really help me since my GPA is kinda low) I was chosen to be a Delegate from my state to go to Washington DC and speak on Capitol Hill about funding & finding a cure for type 1 diabetes...it might be on CSPAN!

In. To definitely be in first admission cycle either apply for summer or only send in your ACT and not SAT. Unless you get the math up with the retake.

Wow! That’s so exciting! Thank you guys! Wow!

@sunnyflorida, I already sent my SAT scores to them. I did that thing where you can send scores to 4 schools for free and FSU was one of them. Will that hurt me?

No, not really. They superscore, and to be honest, they often look at the best scores between SAT and ACT. So if you had, say a CR high score on SAT and Math high score on ACT, they will even consider it that way. Not a deal breaker. But if you retake, def send scores.

My D got about that on SAT math the first go round. Then she retook with NO PREP (can I say stubborn) and did a little worse. She prepped for the summer and retook early fall and did great. She took the ACT but never sent scores. She applied for summer and never regretted getting summer under her belt before the onslaught of fall semester. And she has been very successful at FSU despite the fact math is not her strong point( and that she hates it…)
