Hey! I'm a junior living in Florida and I really want to go to FSU, so I was wondering if you guys could chance me!

UW GPA: 3.36
W GPA: 3.93

I have taken all of my core classes as honors, and have taken AP World, AP Psych, and AP Lang. On AP World, I got a 2. I think on AP Psych I got a 3 or 4, and AP Lang a 4 or 5.

ACT: 28
SAT: 1190/1920 (that's with a 530 on math, retook Saturday)

I've been in Key Club through high school (VP soph & junior years and secretary next year)
Juniorettes soph, junior, & next year (going to run for an office position)
Italian Club through high school
Fellowship of Christian Athletes this year & next year
NHS next year

I have 75 recorded community service hours (25 with YMCA, 50 with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and other hours with Key Club and Juniorettes that I never recorded...

AND (I think this is what will really help me since my GPA is kinda low) I was chosen to be a Delegate from my state to go to Washington DC and speak on Capitol Hill about funding & finding a cure for type 1 diabetes...it might be on CSPAN!

This is the board for UCF, but I can still chance you for FSU. Your GPA is good and your SAT score is great. Your credentials will definitely get you into FSU. Just keep up the good work!

Ooops, I copied & pasted that from my chances post in FSU, but I also want me chance for UCF :)

I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into both. Your GPA is actually within the median for both schools and your ACT is solid. Focus on maintaing your grades in your senior year. Also… “UCF is better”- lol. Sorry, I just think it’s hilarious Gators get ragged on for having an attitude (often rightfully so…) and here we now have Knights making similar blanket statements.

Pretty sure anyone from any school will say theirs is the best… and if you post chances for FSU in a UCF forum, well it’s bound to happen. No one is ragging on the gators. What a sad world it is, people don’t have a sense of humor anymore. If you’re offended by my love for UCF then you probably don’t belong in the UCF forum, just saying.

Adding to that, each school has it strengths. If you’re going for Engineering, Pre-Med, or the Digital Arts, UCF’s got FSU beat. Also, you’d have a better likelihood of getting into FSU (UCF is getting hard to get into). I personally chose to UCF cause I like the feel of a modern campus. But I’m not saying FSU’s a bad school. FSU is a good school to apply to.

Thanks for your opinions, everyone :)

as21608- I’m not actually offended and you’re right about everything in your post :). Sorry to come of like a humorless twat.

Good luck to you, Classof12and16!
