Chance?

<p>I posted this on the Chance Me Forum but thought I would go to the individual schools as well. First time on CC but have been lurking here for a bit. Would appreciate any feedback on my chances for Carleton.</p>

<p>Class of 2012 - large public high school in the North East - Male - Take a mix of AP & Honors classes (a college prep mixed in here in there due to scheduling)</p>

<p>Major: considering one or all - History / Political Science / Economics : may go to law school</p>

<p>GPA: 3.82
Senior Year: just started but commited to making all A's
Junior Year: all A's
Sophmore Year: A's & B's
Freshman Year: A's, B's & two C+'s
**Freshman year I went to a private school where I commuted 3+ hours per day. Transferred to large public school at end of freshman year. I have the long commute and a school transfer in my defense for less than perfect grades.</p>

1410/1600 OR 2080/2400
(CR=740 / M= 670 / WR = 670)

World History = 740 / US History = 740</p>

National Honor Society
Spanish Honor Society: elected officer
Boy's State: elected mayor of my city & invited to be a counselor
Best Buddies: elected officer
Junior State: elected officer
Model UN
Student Council
Key Society
Track: ran track for one season - injury caused me to stop b/c I mainly play baseball I did not want to mess around with an injury in a secondary sport for me
Baseball: play year round on a variety of teams
Hospital Volunteer
Part Time Job</p>

<p>Your EC’s and grades are pretty good, but the SAT scores are borderline. Make sure you write good essays in your app, interview with an admissions rep if you can, and apply ED for a better shot.</p>

<p>Thanks Cleveland Dude! Already have a visit & interview set up. Looks like an awesome school! Was hoping that my SAT scores would be more in the range. I need to check that out again - the info I have gives the 25%-75% range as 1320-1500 so I was right in the middle of that group. Been thinking about retaking to up the math score but math is not my biggest strength.</p>
