<p>Hi septembergurl, it sounds like you have a compelling story and impressive accomplishments. Your math has been the weak point, as you know, but it’s impressive that you’ve kept going and have a good grade in Pre-calculus. The SAT math score is low, but perhaps you can bring that up some. I would definitely get in touch with the Whitman admission representative in your area and start a dialog. He/she will be able to give you more accurate information and will be the one who will interview you if you can’t make it to campus. Admission representatives are very important people to communicate with because ultimately they are the first to see your application and, if they know you, can advocate on your behalf.</p>

<p>septembergurl, I just saw in another thread that you’ve gotten new SAT scores, that’s great! I think you have a good chance at Whitman, they care a lot about passion and character and want students who will come to campus and engage themselves in the Whitman community. The theater and music scenes are thriving there, with loads of talented kids. Best of luck.</p>
