<p>Hey you guys! It's been a while since I've been on CC (worked hard this fall semester). I had a horrible gpa before fall (2.8) and still applied to all the UC Campuses EXCEPT UCB. I just got my fall grades in and I have a 3.1 cumulative GPA (I did really well this fall with 15 units). I can't wait to update my application with this semester's grades. What UCs do I have the best chance to get into? </p>
<p>GPA: 3.14
Major: Sociology(UCD,UCSB,UCI,UCSC,UCR,UCM) American Indian Studies (UCLA)
ECs: Hundreds of hours at a hospital as a volunteer. I've been playing the violin since fifth grade and played in an orchestra from freshman-junior year ( I graduated high school my junior year). I also have an upward grade trend (I know that's of little help). Sociology is NOT impacted at any of the colleges I've applied to as one. By the way, I just turned 18.</p>
<p>I'm really nervous because I'm in the "I hope I get lucky" range with my GPA :(
I also applied to SJSU and Cal Poly, but for behavior and psych majors.</p>
<p>It’ll be tough for you this time around. But you could still raise your GPA by staying another year and submit your application in Fall 2012 to increase your likelihood of getting in. It’s not like you’re completely screwed.</p>
<p>Thanks. I’ve seen people admitted with my gpa (and even lower) to non-impacted majors at the mid level UCs before so I’ll just hope for the best.</p>
<p>I don’t understand why you guys have to put others down with puns about joining the Army. You could’ve just said there’s no chance or given me some advice. You’re not contributing to the CC community nor are you being respectful individuals. It’s quite appalling to say the least. Thanks to the people who actually gave me some advice.</p>

well, i think you have a good shot at ucm, ucr, and ucsc! uci, ucsb, and ucd is a maybe… every year it gets more and more competitive >.< possible that you could be put on the waitlist. people that choose not to go means you would get their spot!</p>

<p>I know! I just want them to come already lol. The wait seems so long too! I got emails from UCLA, UCD,UCI,UCR, and UCSD. UCD and UCR allowed me to make an account and I did so with Davis. I’m still waiting for the other emails prompting me to make an account! Did UCI send you another email after the confirmation? Good luck to you too and have a good Christmas!</p>
<p>i submitted my uc app nov 30 lol so im one of the few that receive emails hella late XD i made a ucd account a few days ago! just got an email from uci at 3am giving me the ucinetid. you should be getting it too!</p>
<p>Yeah, just ignore the rude ones. I finally just ended up putting them on my ignore list. TBH, I find them insufferable enough that I plan to SIR to whatever school they DON’T go to (probably Cal).</p>
