I’m in the same boat as you with SAT lol (750 Math and Writing, 630 Reading). I was mostly stumped on vocab, so i recommend reading direct hits and taking CR practice tests to try to bump it up to at least a 700.

Wake, BU, USC, and Northeastern are the only chances in my opinion. I’d say you’ll get into BU and USC. This is a very typical application for Ivies/elite universities. Nothing stands out.

UMich Ross would be a reach. UMich LSA would also be a reach as both GPA and SAT are below admission average and you are from OOS.

Thanks everyone ^-^ Bump!

I agree that your application looks fairly standard. You do have a fair amount of leadership, which is great for anybody. GPA is a little low for Ivies as well as UCLA level of selectivity; test score is okay, won’t hurt you, but it is definitely not a hook.

I’d say BU, NC, NEU, Fordham seem like good matchish schools. Don’t know much about Wake Forest, you know UPenn is a huge reach…etc.

Write a good essay, incorporate your ECs, which you seem to be dedicated to. To me, your EC’s look pretty different. I can’t comment on courseload since it depends on your school.

Good luck!

I agree with most of the other posts.

If you can make your essays stand out, you’ll have a chance at the “reach” schools (UPenn, Cornell) and the big scholarships at the “match” schools (USC, Northeastern). If your essays are good but nothing special, I imagine you’ll have a good chance for admission at the “match” schools, and a chance at good scholarships at safety schools (personally, I ended up looking at Fordham, Stonybrook, Clark, Bard, and Temple, but there are many more in other places).

Only thing I’d add is to make sure that you are applying to schools that match your personality/learning style as well. There’s a big difference between the personalities of schools like Notre Dame and NYU. Even if they are both top schools, you may learn better or worse at one or the other depending on which one makes you comfortable.

Umich LSA I believe you could get into

I’m applying there as well

Is Umich Ross a reach for me then? 8-|

bump… :frowning:

UMich Ross pre-admission is pretty much a reach for anyone due to the low admission rate.

Don’t waste your time on Ivy applications, you are just feeding the machine and increasing their rejection stats. There are thousands upon thousands of Asian applicants to those schools with better stats than you. Focus on fit - not prestige.

bump.
