Chance?

Hi, I’m a Junior in High school and I was wondering what are my chances for Stevens. I am scared as Stevens is my #1 School.

I messed up pretty badly freshman year and I have been doing my best to bring my grades up, because I got distracted and lazy.

-GPA is 3.4
-3 Honors classes and 2 AP (Honors English Sophomore/Junior year, Honors Spanish IV, AP Comp Sci, and AP Physics I)
-I have also taken all the possible coding classes at my school(VB, C#, Java, and coding Robots)
-I am in precalc and I will continue to AP Calc AB
-I am a male wanting to go into Computer Science
-30 on ACT (thinking about taking the new SAT - depending on PSAT score though)
-I am part of the TV Club, 2 Volunteer groups, Track Team (quit this year to focus on grades), peer leader, part of Committee for the ACS, and I am currently working on an internship for this summer
-I am also planning on doing Early Action/Decision

-I was born in a different country and I did not speak English for the first couple of years (Would that be considered or am I trying to grasp onto nothing?)

  • I am Bilingual(Do not know if that even matters to the Admission office)

Is there any chance I can get in, or should I think about another school?

I think you are a good candidate; keep your grades up. The problem with CS is that they do not take a huge amount of students and CS is currently very popular as a major. I would definitely apply ED1. Good luck!
