Do you guys think my ECs show my passion for math and science?

Thanks in advance,

Very decent scores/ good grades/ good ec
great chance at Caltech (USAMTS is your hook)
and I'm sure that you'll get in if you're a girl.

In at caltech

to BillBank: i'm a male student..

Thanks for your post

BTW what are my chances for MIT, Stanford, and UC Berkeley (i'm in CA)?

Thanks,

Defidently in at UC Berkeley

anyone else?

How can USAMTS be a hook? It's a take home competition so I doubt colleges will view it seriously. I'd say your AIME score is a lot more impressive than USAMTS.

You have the stats, now you need to demonstrate your love and brilliance for math/science through the app and recs.

I wouldn't consider USAMTS as my hook, but i do think that colleges will view it seriously. It is a take-home comp., but that doesn't make it an easy competition. First, the problems are challenging, and second, it's more challenging to write up the proof clearly. Moreover, it taught me how to manage my time well, since i tried to do it along with all my ap classes(5) and sport.
This is just my thought, thanks for your insight.

...................

bump......

ya, shoot for other higher good math/science schools. make sure you keep up your pace and dont slack off!

Thanks Optisrule!
