<p>I live in Virginia </p>

<p>Main SAT score is 1280/1600 (1920/2400) (630M, 620CR, 660W)
took 3 SAT II Subject Tests (Math 1: 690, Math 2: 690 US History: 660)</p>

<p>GPA: 3.56 (my gpa is pretty low because i slacked off my freshmen year, however, ive taken all honors and AP classes (14 in all,) throughout highschool with an increasing gpa each year (9th: 3.1 10th: 3.6 11th: 4.1).)</p>

<p>AP Classes:</p>

<p>AP European History
AP United States History
AP Language and Composition
AP Calculus AB
AP Chemistry (two periods)</p>

<p>Senior year courses:
AP chemistry (2 periods)

<p>Sports:</p>

<p>-Indoor track: 3 years now, lettered in junior year, plan to letter again in 4th year.
-Lacrosse: 3 years now, Varsity since sophomore year, plan to play for 4th year.

  • Non-school affiliated weight lifting, been doing this for 2 years now.</p>

<p>Volunteering:</p>

<p>-About 80 hours of volunteer work at local YMCA Thrift store
-Week long trip to West Virginia to fix up houses for needy families</p>

<p>Summer Activities:</p>

<p>-Harvard Summer Program (10th grade summer, 2 months, went to take pre-calc)
-Harvard Summer Program (10th grade summer, speed reading course, 1 month)
-Harvard Summer Program (11th grade summer, 1 month, java computer programming.)</p>

  • Science MACC (2nd year, competetive science team that won states last year)
  • State of the World Club (3 yrs)
  • Asian Awareness Club (3 years, founder/secretary, but im not asian haha)</p>

<p>As you probably know, those SAT scores put you at the low end (25th percentile) of the statistics for last year's admitted students. And your GPA will certainly hurt your chances unless you have some compelling reason for it (sickness or a family crisis during your freshman year, tough transition to a new school, etc.) or you can write a great essay explaining how you have matured and learned from your mistake, etc.</p>

<p>You do have some other things going for you though -- varsity sports and volunteer work. If you really think BC is the place for you, just put together the very best app you can. Give it your best shot and who knows???</p>
