Recommendations:
I’m definitely going to get good ones from my GC, my math/computer science/engineering teacher, and my english teacher

anyone????

send in your ACT scores, and sat2's

id say you're in with scholarship money, the university scholarship (half)

actually scratch that

dont send in SAT2s, cuz they'll see your SAT scores too, your math is great, but reading is slightly weak compared to the 680 avg score

so just your ACT, and write about all that good extra-curricular stuff you've done

good luck buddy

thanks for the reply

anyone else have any opinions?

also, do you only get deferred to CGS if you apply to CAS? The reason I'm asking is because if i dont get into the college of engineering, i definetly don't want to go to CGS.

I am fairly certain that you get deferred to CGS no matter what school you apply to, assuming you don't get into that school.

i see....do you think i will be deferred to CGS?

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure that if you apply to ENG and don't get in, you'll be considered for the science and engineering program (SEP) that's in the Metropolitan College. It's a program you do for two years (with summer courses) and then you basically transfer into ENG for your junior year.

There's more information here:
Boston University Metropolitan College Undergraduate Degrees: Undergraduate Bachelor of Science and Engineering Degree

thanks for the info heather!

Do you guys think I will be deferred to CGS/SEP?

Well, I'm a sophomore BME major and I'm going to say you probably won't have any problem getting into ENG. You have roughly the same SAT scores and higher ACT scores than I had plus you seem to have a good list of extracurriculars.

I wouldn't be too worried if I were you.

Yea, but I'm concerned about my GPA, although it just went up to 3.27 UW, 3.77 W (they changed the weighted to out of 4.5 cause i think they realized how ridiculous it is to have it out of 6)

bumpitybump

anyone?????

bump one more time

you will be fine. your scores are right on target for most programs at BU.

these people are ridiculous
i'm a freshman here at BU in SMG ...
i have alot of ENG friends o_O

my gpa was a 3.1ish? unweighted was a 3.8ish weighted.
2200-range SAT I's // 680-range SAT II's
