I live in the state of Washington. I go to a pretty big schools that typically has a few kids go to Ivy league type schools. I would like to major in journalism/broadcast journalism.

Between the summer of sophomore and junior year I was in a play, and helped raised $100,000 for, that my school took to the world famous Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland

Worked construction one summer

Volunteering to help put on local communtity races
Served as a page twice for the State Legislature

Do I have a good shot? Which SAT IIs should i take?

You have continued on through Spanish, which is good. SAT is pretty good.
Leadership is good. Try to join in more academic extracurricular activities. If the essays for the UNC application is already up, start writing them up.
Also, keep on taking more IB's and keep up your GPA.
Good chance

I'd say you have a solid chance. How is your class rank? Focus on your essays, compare yourself to the admitted profile from this year and I think you will see that you have a good chance. Best of luck!

Class rank at my school is wierd because we don't weight GPA for IB classes. So my class rank won't be very spectacular with a 3.7 because I'm behind lots of kids who got a higher UW GPA taking an easy course load.

I had a little better scores and I was instate. I barely got in(waitlisted). This is not meant to get your hopes down, but it just goes to show you that UNC is a hard school to get in. You still have a shot, but it would be good to score 90pts better on the SAT.

once you get into carolina, you need to have a 2.9 GPA by the end of your sophomore year to get into the journalism school. i actually think that's the only requirement..

UNC's journalism school is widely regarded as one of the best in the country, along with those of northwestern and syracuse. graduating from carolina with a journalism degree will definitely look good on your resume.
