WM in strong public school in MA; 700M/620CR/540W; 690MathI SATII, 650 USHistory SATII; 3.35gpa out of 4.0 (mostly all advanced-level first 3 years and 3 APs this year); pres. of language club (2ys); varsity sport team (4 ys); few other ec's, worked in a law firm this summer, a little volunteering; not applying for fin. aid (not sure if it even matters here).

Was wondering if anyone out there is willing to give me their take on my chance of admission next Fall.

Thanks very much.

If you are in the top 10% of your class, you stand a great chance.

My school doesn't rank -- would this be a problem?

My advice to you is to go and take a tour and interview with an admissions counselor. You raise your odds dramatically at Holy Cross by expressing a sincere desire to go to the school. They will reject many many candidates who appear to be using the school as a safety or backup. You must express genuine interest in the college and explain why you want to attend Holy Cross versus other colleges you are applying to. If you have a winning personality and show real interest in attending Holy Cross, you have a great shot.

That is exactly what happened to my daughter...she applied as a last minute decision ..showed little interest. Her stats were excellent. Holy Cross was the only school she was rejected from
