<p>It's hard to tell. JMU seems to find GPA really important & you have a great GPA so that's good! Your SAT scores are a bit low..but a kid from my school last year had a 2200 and a low GPA and didn't get in..so GPA seems to be more important.</p>
<p>How hard are your courses? JMU places lots of weight on the difficulty of your schedule, but I think it would be tough with a 22/1540, could be a reach. It's true that your HS academic record is more important to JMU, and you're at the low end of their middle range for scores, so if you have tough classes you've got a very good shot</p>
<p>You have a great GPA, but your test scores are a bit low. The out of state thing will also hurt you. With a good recommendation and rigorous course load, you'll get in. Make sure you maintain your GPA.</p>
