i posted a while back, but im still worried and need some more honest answers.

ive done anything and everything to get in.

chances?
when do you think il hear from them??

I'm sorry, I'd hate to say it... but I don't think you'll get in with those scores/your class rank. Like zach hinted at, joining the corps can significantly help your chances. Best of Luck!

Did they apply/get accepted as a HS student for Fall 2009? If so, I don't believe you. A&M wouldn't send out acceptances this early for students with below average credentials, even as a General Studies major.

I think your actions such as going to SLOT, soccer camp, campus visits show your extreme interest in A&M and I think that is going to help you. I believe showing interest in A&M is a lot bigger deal than most people think... I also think your test scores are low and your gpa isnt steller - I think your interest and desire to go to A&M is an advantage that may get you an admission - an offer for the Blinn Team, a summer school admission (forgot what that program is called) -
You might retake the exams and see if you can bring up your scores. Even after the deadline, you might tip the scale in your favor if your scores are higher.
Best of luck to you!

gstein: she is like 22% has good extra currricular. idk what her act scores was. but she told me like a lil over 1000 for math/rdg sat. and she just found out like this week. and idkk she got in.

and thanks to everyone who has appllied, blahhh

found this under ways to be admitted under course work on tamu.edu/admissions

"Statistics: 53% of the Incoming Fall Freshman Class were in the Top 10% of their High School Graduating Class, 85% were in the Top 25% of their High School Graduating Class, and 99% were in the Top 50% of High School Graduating Class."

therefore there were 8104 incoming freshman for class of 2012, so if 99-85%= about 14% then that means 14% of freshman are between top 26-50% than that means about 1200 will get admitted?

which means since i have lots of good things - my scores then there is still hope!?

Your math is correct, but you aren't however accounting for the yearly change in those given statistics. Each year A&M, and tu for that matter, are receiving more and more applications, and especially from the top 10% who are guaranteed acceptance. Usually, the lower your class rank is, the higher your SAT scores have to be for acceptance. I knew a friend with similar class rank as you and higher SAT scores (~150 more points) that got offered Blinn Team in our freshman class (2011). As each year becomes more competitive, I'd have to say your chances are slim. But hang in there, you never know what might happen.
