Can you guy give me some suggestions and comments base on my stats ? Also please suggestt me some more schools

Intended major: Economics, sociology

Prefer: <10,000 students, on East Coast or CA, not super rural ( Right not Financial aid is most important)

Dream schools: Yale, Penn, Dartmouth
Reach-high match: Bowdoin, Brandeis, Pomona, Vassar, Lafayette, Hamilton
Low match: St. Lawrence, Franklin and Marshall

9th grade GPA: 8.0/10 (it's considered A where I went to)

My GPA in sophomore year was 9.2/10

Junior year GPA: 4.0 (unweighted, my school does not have weighted GPA)
No ranking but I think I am in top 5%

Repeating junior year at a really rigorous private school.

Score this year so far: AP Cal BC: B, AP Physics C:Mechanics: B-, Spanish 1: A+, English 11: A, Biology: A, Choir: A, Wind Ensemble: A.

AP Cal AB score: 4 (Too bad)

SAT is 2100. SAT II will be Math II: hope will be 700 at least and about 2 more, have not decided yet.

Which EC is your passion? That’s a really diverse list. Whittle it down.

Aside from the English thing and Victoria scholarship (?), all of those awards mean “high GPA.” Thus, don’t include them.

Never heard of a 10 pt GPA scale.

What you listed (and the ranks you gave) seem accurate.

Basically, my ECs are sports and music, especially soccer.

Any more suggestions ?

any more suggestion ??

Yale, Penn, and Dartmouth are unlikely. You’re in the running for the rest.

SO can you suggest me some more schools ?

How is economics and sociology at Pomona by the way ?

What should I do to raise my chance up at Yale, Penn and Dartmouth ?

To improve your chances for Yale, Penn, and Dartmouth, improve your SAT score to 2200+. Winnow down your extracurricular activities, so you can convey passion. Write genuine essays, choose your teacher recommendations carefully, and leave the rest to the ad coms.

Good luck.

Thanks

SO can you suggest me some more schools ?

can you guys give me some more suggestions on what schools should I look into ?

Thanks

Also, what do you guys think are my chance at other schools on my list ??

University of Rochester

Interestingly, I am studying in Rochester now. I probably don’t want to stick around for college though I know the school is really good. In addition, they don’t give that much Financial aid to international students.

What are my chances at Liberal Art schools like Bowdoin, Pomona, Vassar, Lafayette, Hamilton, F&M, St. Lawrence, and Brandeis ??

Any more suggestions on what other schools I should take a look at ??

Not many schools give good financial aid to internationals. [Schools Awarding International Financial Aid](Schools Awarding International Financial Aid) is a good website to get more information on this. Vassar looks good for FA to internationals.

I think your chances start below the dream school. I woud add, as realistic reaches, Colgate, Colby and Claremont McKenna. As high matches Bates, Trinity, NYU. If you’re female, the sister colleges would also be good bets.

good chances at all, please chance me!

Thanks. I am a guys so yeah, I cannot consider the sister schools.

Among those small, top liberal arts, which one I have a good shot at ?

I like those 3 Ivies League and want to shoot for that too. Then, what should I do to improve my chance ?

Among Claremont colleges, which one has the best economics and sociology departments ?

Any more suggestions ??
