What are my chances at top colleges?
Duke
MIT
Harvard

I think you have a solid chance but I think you should apply to some more schools. Duke’s admissions is rather tough nowadays, MIT will probably want an 800 in math rather than 770, and no one can ever tell with Harvard. Good luck!!

^Thanks a lot. I think I will apply to more colleges like Vandy, UVA, UNC and so on. Also, I know I can improve the 770 math score for MIT
I also realized that there are some minor ECs that I am missing.

Duke-low reach/ highmatch
Harvard and MIT are a reach for everyone

I am a junior, so I will take the Math, Biology, and US History SAT II tests. I also have some time to pad my app.

Basically, you are saying that these schools are hard to get into, but it is doable.

What do you think about my APs? Will that be a boost?

Please chance I will chance back

Somebody please chance me. I will chance back.

Also give me chances at UVA, Cornell, and Northwestern

Duke- great chance
Harvard- decent chance
MIT - reach unless you have USAMO
UVA - are you out -of-state? If not, I’d say you’re IN with scholarship
Cornell - In
Northwestern - In

Chance me back please:

Wow…doin a great job
Don’t have much specifics so hard to say
But if you have some awards and recognition in just a few of those ecs such as science fair of math bowl then i think:

Duke: low low reach / match
UVA: In with scholarship (In state) / math (out of state)
Harvard: Only God knows but as good a shot as any
Vandy, etc: Match

Good Luck :)

^Thanks so much.

To clarify I live in Ohio, not Virginia.

Come on everybody, chance me or tell me what to improve and I will chance back asap!!!

Thanks for the chance. I’m chancing you back. (:

You’re pretty solid everywhere except for MIT because you don’t really show a strong interest in math/science. Of course, the schools’ admissions are always tricky so you never know. If I were you I would retake the SATs and aim for a higher score. A few points can help you significantly. Besides that, everything looks good!

Looks good. If you brought up your SAT score to 2250+, you would have even better chances. Take Math II for MIT as well.

Duke: low reach
Harvard/MIT: Reach (it is for everyone)
UVA: Match
Cornell: low reach
Northwestern: Match
Vandy: Match
UNC: Match

Duke- mid reach definite potential
Harvard- high reach (a total shot in the dark for anyone)
MIT - mid reach need to raise SAT math…
UVA - safety!!!
Cornell -high match
Northwestern - in for sure your numbers are well above

Please chance me…will chance back asap
