Applying ED and legacy
Visiting and interviewing in mid-July

I think you have a good chance, especially because you’re applying ED. Higher SAT/ACT scores, would, of course, better your chances.

Also-- 13 APs? Wow. Sometimes it’s better to take a few classes that don’t have such a rigid curriculum, especially because you’re not getting all 5s. Keep in mind that WashU accepts a maximum of 15 AP credits (at least for ArtSci students…)

The SAT, ACT, and AP scores are a bit on the low side… I would retake either the SAT or ACT and try to get a better score (you only need to send one of them).

What are you planning to go into? I would choose a major related to humanities to better your chances since it looks like your sciences are weak. At WashU, it’s really easy to switch majors, so you can always switch back to the sciences if that is your intention.

I agree with the above post that you’re overloading yourself with APs. Quality is better than quantity.

Overall though, with your heavy EC schedule (especially with the 15hr/week working time), and the fact that you’re applying ED and legacy, I think with the stats you mentioned, you have a good chance. However, that can be dramatically improved with a higher SAT or ACT score.

You’ve got a solid shot, especially as legacy applying ED.
Good luck!

Your stats are similar to what mine were (ACT score, AP scores, GPA and rank are almost identical as are some of the ECs) and I was admitted RD.

I’d say that it couldn’t hurt to retake either the ACT or SAT to get a higher score. I’m an advocte of choosing just one test to focus on and doing your best on that one instead of trying to get a good score on two very different tests. That could just be me though.

Other than that, just be sure to write a good essay and I think you have a good chance. Good luck!
