rising senior, 1920 sat, 3.24 GPA unweighted at the best public school in central texas (not sure that that's saying anything) with consistent improvement in annual averages, 8 aps (lit, composition, environmental studies, euro, gov, macroeconomics, calc (ab), psychology)(including senior year), about 20 honors. Not many EC's (one year of JV tennis, one year of film club, will continue on both next year). Not sure where RIT stands in my list of schools in terms of interest, although I've gained interest in neuroprosthetics, so studying a tech school will stimulate that interest.

I think you certainly are well qualified to apply, with the caveat that certain majors in certain colleges at RIT may have higher entrance requirements than others. Go for it if you think RIT has what you might be interested in. As for your relative lack of extracurriculars, compensate for that with a compelling discussion of your passion(s) and how you would be able to explore them at RIT.

I’ll take note of that. Thank you!
