chance?

i havent really thought about ivy league..didn't think it was for me but im interested in learning a little about upenn if anyone can help me otu and also chance me

My weighted GPA is a 3.7...I'm taking one AP and ive only taken honors courses in high school. my sat scores are 730 writing, 720 critical reading, 690 math. I'm graduating a semester early just because i have the credits and can..so i'll probably join a vounteer travel program like habitat for humanity or something else international. i'm interested in journalism, international relations, and political science .

ECs:
i've been holding a part time job for 2 years, which is everyday after school, so it doesn't allow me to participate in school activities. But i have taken out of school art classes at the same studio for the past 5 years, and my instructor would definitely write me a recommendation. i'm also involved in the youth services in my town...i've helped out with things like fashion shows and i've designed in them as well, so i have a portfolio for that too. other than that its been unofficial things....i play guitar as a hobby and took lessons for a couple years but i stopped.

Well, I’d say you definitely have your work cut out for you, but it’s not impossible.

not to be a downer but you do not have a fantastic chance. that being said great essays and recs can do wonders especially if you do something truly wonderful for that semester off.

Unfortunately, I don’t think great essays and recs can offset a very low weighted GPA and a very good but not outstanding SAT score. Apply anyway, but your chances are low as previous posters stated.
