<p>Public High School in Maryland.
GPA: 4.0 (UW) 4.27 (W)</p>

<p>9th Grade: Eng 9 Honors, US History (no honors or AP option in 9th grade), Alg 2 Hon, Bio 1 Hon (again, no AP option), Spanish 2, PhysEd/Health (required).</p>

<p>10th Grade: Eng 10 Honors, AP US Gov't, Spanish 3 (1 sem), Spanish 4 (1 sem), Advanced Band, Chem 1 Hon, Foundations of Engineering (req), Athletic Conditioning, Precalculus Hon.</p>

<p>11th Grade: AP English Lang, AP Calc AB, AP Chemistry, AP World History, Physics I, Jazz Band</p>

<p>12th Grade (current): AP English Lit, AP Physics C, AP Calc BC, AP US History, AP Psychology, AP Biology.</p>

<p>I got an "A" in every course so far. AP options only really opened up in 11th grade for us as far as school allowances go.</p>

<p>SAT I: 710 CR, 740 M, 780 W (retaking in October, expecting higher)
SAT II: 800 Math Level 2, 800 Chem, *** World History (adm counselor confirmed it will not be focused upon)</p>

<p>AP Scores: (5)-AP US Gov't, AP Calc AB, AP Eng Lang, AP Chemistry. (4)-AP World History</p>

<p>Extracurricular:
-Civil Air Patrol (5 years commitment)-Served as Cadet Commander for 8 months (greater responsibility than a club president. Cadet Commander must run the entire cadet program in the local squadron), Wing Cadet Advisory Council Vice Chair (similar to state-level Student Gov't vice president), attended prestigious and very selective Civic Leadership Academy, Cadet Officer School, and served as cadet ambassador to the country of Turkey.
-Student Government (since 6th grade)-Vice President, Technology Coordinator, Regional Community Service Coordinator
-National Honor Society-Executive Board member, Induction Chair
-County High School Task Force-recommended by principal to serve on High School task force advisory committee</p>

<p>Athletics:
-Cross Country-9th, 10th grade. Not the best runner, no Varsity letter, but committed.
-Tennis-9th, 10th, 11th, 12th (planned). Not the top player, no Varsity letter, but committed.</p>

<p>Community Service:
-Harvest for the Hungry-help raise awareness and funds for Maryland food banks through SCA/SGA, served as music coordinator for charity event in 9th grade
-Christmas in April-repairing homes for elderly and disabled</p>

<p>Work Experience:
-Lifeguard at local Naval Air Station. Summer job.
-US Soccer Federation Certified Soccer Referee: 9th grade.</p>

<p>Awards: NHS, AP Scholar with Distinction (expected), Highest Honor Roll since 9th grade.</p>

<p>It sounds solid all around, the only thing that could break your chances would probably an essay that doesn’t show fit (or terrible recommendations).</p>
