Essays should be unique, Interview should go well, but no legacy/recruited athlete :/

Everything is solid, but to be honest, I don’t see a lot of uniqueness through your activities. You will have to stress how you are different and desirable through the essay. There will be many other applicants with the same stats and activities as yourself, so its immediately an uphill battle, good luck, and work on those essays.

Unless she really screws up her essays, she shouldn’t have any issues.

@OP: Your profile is OUTSTANDING! However, I’m not sure if “single sitting” gives you an advantage, just a btw. Every representative I’ve spoken to says that the biggest part of the test scores is super-score, as indicated by the Common App (which asks for your highest SAT component per component: highest CR, highest M, highest W). So a student who has taken the SAT two or three times that has the same score as you (OP) probably won’t be disadvantaged due to the super-scoring nature of admissions. Can anyone confirm/deny/add-on to what I’ve posted?

If you apply SEAS or CAS then I think you are in. Going to a sucky public in PA is not a big deal. Penn takes lots of rich kids from Philly’s Main Line, but they tend to go easier on people from less wealthy parts of the state. If you got a 2380 in the middle of central PA then that is more impressive than some kid in Bryn Mawr or Haverford who got coached to the same score with 20k of prep.

lol why try to lie there were no girls on the fire team this year hopefully none of them bother looking into that

i never said i was on the fire team? i meant i was on the lehigh valley team, which was the national champion.
i’ll specify it on the app, obviously cuz they’re gonna check. i was just going for the top female.

Alright so looking at this I can deduce that you’re either stupid or looking for reassurance. I’m positive it’s not the former so it must be the latter. You clearly have a good chance and good essays will make your chance more good. I won’t tell you you are guaranteed or anything cause no one can say that for sure but your chances are higher than a lot of peoples’. Good luck

Based on your stats and ECs, I can’t think of any reason why you wouldn’t have a good chance. You’ve heard this before, but I’ll say it again: write compelling and personal essays. Good luck!
