Taking a design class at Pratt University this summer.

I'm applying to school of design (don't have a strong portfolio) & Tepper Buisness School

I got in for Fine Arts, not the design program, but I can tell you that a strong portfolio is probably the most important factor for CMU - any art school for that matter. You seem to have good grades, good standardized test scores, and decent extracurriculars, but the portfolio is probably the main factor with the art department. Taking a design class at Pratt will definitely help you develop your portfolio! I think the best shot for you is to develop a strong design portfolio and you're in.

thank you ..if i don't get into the design program will they re-evaluate my application for the schools i pick as my second and third choices?

Decisions to different schools are made independentl, so you will still be considered for your other choices.
