So does one person a day get an invite :-?
Just wondering, does receiving this invite necessarily mean an acceptance? I just received it and am excited but a little confused.
I just got invited to chancellors reception. I guess they really like my essays and extracurriculars because my stats are very low. GPA: 3.87 ACT 26
My D received one in the mail today. Los Angeles.
Got the invite today. SoCal.
@jdawg24 as far as I know- yes! All of my friends who received the invitation last year got admitted. Some into Honors program, some regular, but admitted 100%. They also said that at the beginning of the reception all students are asked to stand up and the first thing the Chancellor says is “congratulations you all have been admitted to UCSB”
Is this for Junior transfers as well, or just high schoolers?
@collegefind1234 Thank you for the information! Very exciting!
Son got invited to Chancellors Reception today…we are in Southern California. It’s a post card sent through US Mail.
Nothing exciting ever seems to come in the mail these days. Must be so much fun to receive one of these invites!
Ok, it’s actually not a post card…I was looking at it through a USPS scan of my daily mail…it’s in an envelope and looks like a typical invitation. It is nice to get stuff through the mail!
I have a question if you dont get Chancellor’s invite this means you wont be considered for Regents?
Where in Southern California? Which County if you don’t mind sharing.
got it beach cities in so cal today
As I noted in the other thread, the Regents notification is in a separate big envelope with a certificate and stating specifically its from the Regents Program on the outside. We received both this afternoon for D18 in NorCal.
