Didn’t you get scholarship money from Pitt already? I am sure you will be fine wherever you end up :)

I see, lynnjsnow. Sorry, I thought you were serious. Good luck with scholarships at other schools. Any chance you’ll choose Pitt anyway?

Got our no interview letter today. Doesn’t effect where Pitt stands on our list though. We still have the Full Tuition Scholarship.

^^That full tuition is mighty nice.

I got the no interview letter today unfortunately. Doesn’t matter though. I’m planning to enroll soon.

Has anyone aside from the creator of this thread received an interview yet? Still waiting anxiously

nothing here yet, son submitted by dec 4…no idea if we should hear soon or not

There’s something about schools in the PA state system and vague notification systems. My friend applied to Penn State and was told he’d receive his decision “sometime in January.” It’s maddening.

the no interview letter received today

Sorry, parent56.

Here, the waiting is killing me. Grrrrr. I wonder if a delay sometimes means they’re not sure, as if they’re saying, “This kid may or may not be okay…let’s see what else comes in before we decide.”

^I wonder the same thing because I submitted my stuff by December 4th and still haven’t heard anything

Son submitted his beginning of December and heard last week. Got a no interview, so maybe later is better.

mantori…he still has the full tuition scholarship, which is wonderful. Upitt will go into the mix with a very nice offer. hope you hear soon!!!

Son received two mails from Office of Chancellor today. I went through them and found nothing about the interview but one welcome letter from the Chancellor and something about the school. Can’t guess what it means.

The Chancellor’s scholarship is administered by the Honors College, not the Chancellor himself. The letters you received are likely “Please enroll” letters ;)

I’m out of state and I have not received any mail yet about scholarships. I got a 2210 on my SATs and am top 1% at my school, so I can’t imagine I didn’t qualify for any. Is pitt just slow when it comes to out of state students or did I not qualify? I applied late November and was accepted December if that helps at all.

What is your CR/M breakdown? I don’t think Pitt considers the writing portion.

1450, so i should qualifiy

You should definitely call the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and find out.

This was from the “Official Class of 2014 Pitt Decision Thread” :
