<p>All the merit scholarships have some element of leadership, service or contribution outside the classroom, so concrete number statistics (i.e. average SAT score, GPA, etc.) are meaningless.</p>
<p>My son is presently a freshman on a Chancellor’s scholarship. His unweighted gpa was a 4.0 and he had a 2160. I believe what earned him the scholarship were his activities. All of them pretty much were dedicated to bridging different cultures. If you look at the description of the scholarship, they are looking for students who have organized these types of activities.
