CHANCES!!!!111(cos(0))

(i just found out some scores/added some stuff to the resume-checkzor it out)

hey guys im a hispanic junior and im trying to see if i have the stats that could possibly lead up to an acceptance to the Cornell...just evaulate thanks

[EDIT]:Before you guys read my stats id just like to mention that Cornell has been my dream school since i went there this summer and observed the diversity and the rich culture of Cornell. For example i played soccer with Cornell students who were black, white, hispanic, and Asian which kind of gave me the feeling that Cornell is extremely diverse in its student body. I would love to have that. The campus is beautiful and considering i live in NY it seems like the perfect fit for what i would like. I'd also like to mention that my school sent 12 ED to cornell last year alone, meaning that we have a great relationship with Cornell in terms of admissions. K thanks guys.

EDIT: i have a serious upward trend in my high school transcript (low grades(B) to all A's , minimal honors --> all honors/AP)

bump?!!!????

I don't think that you'll have much of a problem getting into Cornell.

Dad is Egyptian and mom from from Peru, Habibi, do you speak Arabic and Spanish? Lol, you're technically African American and Hispanic, but I think you're overdoing the urm status (mom from peru...). You have good stats and such, and urm status helps a lot, I think Cornell is a very good possibility.

what do you mean by overdoing the urm status

if you got a 770 on your math 2 sat II then the amc should be a breeze. i got a 108 on it when i was in honors algebra II.. lol.

Too much empahsis on it. We know you're a minority. That's pretty much what matters on the urm part.

well, your dad is egyptian. in terms of college admission, arabs are considered white. why don't you mark that?

IMO AMC is harder than AIME
i barely scored 120 on the AMC12 but then i scored 9 on the AIME even though i left an hour early..thought i didnt hv a chance to qualify..stupid me...but my point it...AMC is harder than AIME if u r disorganized and careless like me

oh im sorry...i just wanted to put emphasis so you guys knew what i meant...and about the putting white on the app....i definetely am more in touch with my hispanic side of the family rather than my arabic side as in i hardly know my dads siblings/kids or anyone else in his family that i could get to know is deceased...i know both arabic and spanish fluently but at home i speak only english and spanish....also i spend all of my holidays with my hispanic side and my interests definetely revolve around latino culture...so i figured id put the choice that best reflects me...im proud to be arab though no doubt haha.

bump?????!?!?!?

nope, amc is not harder than the aime. i got a 108 on the amc and a measly 3 on the aime (but i was a freshman so oh well) so yeah, definitely go for it, you'll probably qualify for the aime no problem.

bump bump bump more chancois?

bumpin to the top

AMC is only easy if u hv a careful mind...yet AIME is easy if u hv the brain....

lol k...chanceS?

bump agin...damn things fall fast here

do you go to jericho?

How many replies do you want?? Like others have said you have a good shot at cornell as long as you don't screw up between now and this time next year.
