I just want to know if I have a decent chance of getting in?
Also, what do you think I need to improve upon?

wow, you seem to be posting this on every college's board. i hope you narrow down your choices before application time. i think you have got a good chance of getting in. your ecs are strong and you have a heavy corse load seeing as how your school doesn't give many aps to those who aren't seniors. i think you could improve on your sat score. it's not bad but it would definetly make you more secure if you got it around a mid 2100. if you got it higher you could consider applying for emory scholars. good luck.

Thanks amadani,

I have been posting a at a lot of boards. My top choices are really Dartmouth, Emory, Yale. However I am also looking into the Claremont Consortium (CMC, Pomona, Pitzer), and then Bates, Colby and Georgetown. I plan on eliminated either Bates or Colby, and either CMC or Pomona, so that should narrow my choices down to 7 plus 2 safeties.

Can you give me some more details on Emory Scholars?

you have some good choices. the emory scholars program is a highly competitive and selective program for students who have excelled in high school. becoming and emory scholar is usually as difficult as admission into HYPS. to be a candidate, your high school must nominate you (each school gets 5) and you must write an additional essay. all of the materials are due by november 1. they announce semi finals at the end of january and then interviews are in march. emory awards about 150 scholarships ranging from 2/3 tuition to full. it is renewable each year. the scholars get other benefits like first choice in housing and classes plus retreats and internships not available to everyone else. hope this helps.

That sounds awesome. I never thought that such great schools gave 2/3-full scholarships. I will surely look into this. Just one question. Do you know if you can still be accepted RD if you don't get the scholarship?

if you get to the semis you are in but if you don't get there then they put you with the rest of the RD applicants.

So you mean if you get to semi's you are automatically in. It is just a matter of whether you have to pay full tuition or if you get the scholarship. That is really awesome. I will definetely ask my guidance counselor about it.

yep, i'm pretty sure that's how it works. check out their website at http://www.emory.edu/ADMISSIONS/admission-aid/emory-scholars.htm for more info though.
