Chances - 2400 - Top colleges

Two statistics to ponder. First, even Harvard accepts 50% of all applicants with 1600 (CR +M). Second only about 1200 students each year get a perfect SAT score (regardless of number of tries) and less than 1% of AAs exceed 700 on CR (same for M, and this is not a composite of 1400, which is lower). In addition, you have taken a very rigorous schedule. Assuming your rank is top 10%, I suspect you could get into any school in the country and many of them will be offering scholarships.

To give you some idea of your exalted status, read The Gatekeepers, by a Wesleyan admissions officer, who describes how Wesleyan, Yale, and several other top schools engaged in an all out war for a URM with about a 1500 (CR + M) (she decided to attend Yale).

why is this thread still active?

Really good test scores. I think you have a good chance at all your schools

I think your application looks stunning, you’re definitely a strong applicant anywhere.

You have very strong credentials. Disregarding race, I’d say you have a 60% chance of getting in already (which is really high for top colleges). But including race, I’d say you have a 95% chance. It might be high, but from the patterns I’ve seen among people I know, I think you’re already in. Don’t slack on your apps or anything, but you have a great chance!

You guys know this was started a year ago, right?

Lol I can’t believe there are people that are still chancing him… He got in everywhere.

That sounds way high. Brown only accepted about 28% of its ACT 36 applicants in a recent year. There was no equivalent composite listing for the SAT – SAT stats were broken down by individual 800 subscores.

I had a link bookmarked, but that page is no longer up at the present time; maybe it will be updated eventually with more recent stats.

Let this instruct other people who come here asking for chances. I personally was going to say he would get accepted everywhere before reading further down :)

I also would have agreed that he looks like the “model/perfect” student. There should be plenty of scholarships coming his way.

It is great to hear how you have aced this SAT exam and now I need some help plz.
I want to improve my score in a week.I am ready to do any thing required plus illistrate how much I can improve? Give the list of all possible links, resources possible. Thanks in advance.

You’ll get in where every you want with those scores

He already did, he chose the path that is’’ well trodded upon’’ rather than’’ less travelled"

Recording artist Ryan Leslie is black, had a perfect SAT score, but did not get into Stanford. Just saying.

And yes, I know this is an old thread.

Good luck at Dartmouth ;)

You have a great shot at all of the schools listed. The Ivies may be a little tougher, but only because they’re Ivies and they’re the most competitive schools to apply to.

You make me very jealous. Really.

With those scores, you’re invincible. (Almost)

I have asked AP school.

i have scored 1620 in sat2…with these marks can i apply for mnit jaipur??

Hi - I am new to the site.
What do you think my chances are for Nursing at UMass Amherst or Umass Dartmouth? My SAT Scores: 510 Math, 590 Reading and 600 Writing. I have taken 5 AP courses and the rest were mostly honors. I play basketball and softball, play percussion in band, National Honor Society, still in Girl Scouts. I recieved Advanced scores on MCAS in English, Math and Science. I have been accepted to the nursing program at UMass Boston, Umass Lowell and Salem State (MA).

Just getting nervous since the other schools accepted me a few weeks ago - I applied to all at the same time for early action.

Thanks
