My essay is GREAT. Recs will also be SUPER.

GREATEST THANKS TO ANYONE WHO RESPONDS!

weekes, your chances at the schools you list are good, especially if your SATI is consistent with your other scores.

You could even go up a notch and add some reaches in the same selectivity range as Wellesley. With your conservative political bent and outdoorsy activities I'd recommend you take a look at Hamilton, Bowdoin, Willams and Amherst.

Other than the fact that 3 out of 5 of the schools you list are women's schools and they are all LACs, what characteristics are you are looking for in a college? You have some very wide mood swings in personality among these schools so I wonder if there was something else that drew you to them?

What's your financial situation? If you expect to receive needbased or merit aid you may have to widen your net a bit.

Thanks so very much for your encouraging words! I like Wellesley, Smith and Mt. Holyoke because they're women's colleges that offer great poli. sci/pre law programs. Davidson was thrown in because it's the only top LAC in the south (and has a really nice "personal touch")
