I plan on applying to the College of Engineering. I also plan on applying Early Decision, as Cornell is my dream reach school.

I am aware that my SAT scores are sub-par for a student who hopes to go into Engineering. However, I have only taken them once and am extremely confident that I will improve my scores drastically after I retake a couple of times.

I would like to know what my chances would be considering my academics and extracurriculars. I sometimes wonder if varsity sports are taken as seriously as a rigorous extracurricular activity as they should be by college admissions.

Thanks to anyone for their time.
