What school should I apply to to have the best chance (if any)?

i got deferred with a 33, so good luck. i dont think the major matters all that much since you dont commit to one until after your first year. with your high math score, any of those will probably be fine for now.

raise the science to at least a 30, english/reading scores one or two points higher, maintain your math, and you should be within striking range. you can do it. the essays are important though, Rice is a small school and puts a lot into those from what I gather. maybe the SAT w/o the science is a better test for you, who knows, try it out, although with practice you can raise it on the ACt, time is a constraint obviously on that section. Rice takes the highest out of any section on either test SAT or ACT, but they require two SAT subjects so dont forget those. I got in and I'm indian, from a southern US state which is overrepresented at Rice, so its definitely possible, and I didn't have extraordinary scores like you see on CC. I can pm you my scores and info and stuff if you want. in terms of the school, i'd apply to the one you see that fits your interests best. that you can decide next fall. good luck.
