i was deferred with a 3.3 GPA and a 28 ACT. i called the admissions office the day i found out and the lady told me to turn in my first tri grades and see what happens (they ask for your first and second tri grades.)

Now, i've sent in a teacher rec and a counselor rec. they're both pretty good. Also, my exams were this week and my final grades for first tri senior year are

AP Stats - A
AP World History - B+
Spanish 3 - A
Creative Writing - A
AP English Lit - A

yeah, I don’t really understand but it’s okay I’m just trying my best and I’ll see what happens.

Yeah I had a 3.3 GPA and I think if I had a 3.4 I would’ve been accepted. My grades were pretty consistent and I took super hard classes last year too. My ACT breakdown was math-30, english-31, science-26, reading-24, and writing 11/12. I had a load of ECs… piano, internship, tennis, volunteer club, girls state, and a bunch of other clubs & stuff. I also thought my essays were good. So, I guess they have their own reasons.

I called and the lady I talked to said they’re deferring a TON of people this year, which is better than getting flat-out rejected. Waiting sucks though. Thanks!

Omg are you joking? I hope you eventually get accepted! You are honestly a good candidate try u of m, they’ll probably take you!! And now I’m scared it’s been a month now for ms :(

I definitely think you should get in, but who knows what admissions do and go through. Just in case, have a back up plan ready =) @fe2011- I’m on the same boat- It’s been a month and a half-ish for me too. Don’t stress out too much allysonb92!
