Chances after being deferred

Hi,

I just found out that I was deferred today. Is this something I should be happy about since I am not rejected or is this common? Also, my first semester senior year grades are A- in AP Calculus AB, A- in AP Psychology, A- in AP English IV, B- in AP Spanish IV, A- in AP Environmental Science, and A in Physical Education. What are my chances with my first semester senior year grades? Any input is appreciated. Thanks. Stats are below.

I’m not sure about your chances after being deferred, but if you read the posts from December, when Early Action candidates were notified, many great students with great test scores, GPAs, etc, were deferred, including my son. He has a 31 on his ACT and a 3.8, with lots of great ECs, recs, he’s even a published author. Most of the kids being accepted had 33s and above on their ACTs. Our advisor thinks our son will still be accepted, but we don’t know what to think. Good luck to you - hang in there.

ACT is pretty low, especially for out of state

Thank you for your help, Sportsmom42 and hotdogseller. Can anyone else chance me?
