Dear Inspiron2012 : Your two-way SAT of 1340 is at/below the midpoint of last year’s regular admission class. Given your writing score, your three-way score is further below that midpoint. Your ACT score is weaker than your two-way SAT since typically BC has been only considering scores in the 30+ range. Your GPA at 3.4 is really a good achievement, but as you have seen from the acceptance thread, there have not really been any acceptances in that range. Sports (one year) is really not a valuable addition (does BC have a fencing team?), no music or arts listed, and no volunteerism listed.

Basically, the question you have to ask about your application is “what do you add to BC? … not what BC can do for you!” How do you make the experience better for others in the Jesuit tradition? This might sound a little preachy and I apologize for that. However, if you are really serious about BC, you need to do some serious soul searching to answer these very simply stated questions. Good luck in the final rounds of your college pursuit!
