<p>Currently a senior. top 1/3 of class, 25X/781 In State (Alhambra, CA)
School doesnt give any extra points for Honors classes in Sophmore year, do UC's give the points for sophmore year honors classes?</p>

<p>Sophmore Sem 1/2
English H: B/B
Spanish: A/B
Geometry H: C/C
Tennis: A/A
Biology: B/B
World History H: B/B</p>

<p>Junior Sem 1/2
US Hist AP: C/C -I got a 4 on the AP test.
Alg II: C/B
Chemistry: B/B
Psychology: B/A - 3 on the AP exam
English H: B/B
Spanish: B/B</p>

<p>As far as i know, my transcript says 3.00, but i think UC-wise its a bit higher than that. Anyone mind calculating my UC gpa then? Thanks in advance. </p>

<p>SAT I: R:590 M:550 W:540 (8 on essay. Gonna retake in Nov.) 1680 total, lets say i get 1800 or so.
Took SAT II in Oct. im guessing probably low 600's in US History and Bio E/M.</p>

<p>EC: Red cross club (Y-fast certified) 2 yr
Junior civitan service club 2 yr
Ap bio club 1 yr
Did some fundraising for an orphanage in mexico last christmas, no log of hours or money though. </p>

<p>Applying at (so far): UCI, UCR, UCD, UCLA, UCSD (no chance on the last two, but my parents say to apply anyways)</p>

<p>i believe only junior APs and Honors are weighted to get the 3.00 GPA. I thought certain honors were weighed also? Weighing the honors, i had something like 3.33 gpa. Anyone mind recalculating it for me? I think i messed up somewhere.</p>

<p>flopsy, you seem to be the UC expert around here. Mind telling me what my actual UC GPA is? Im pretty sure i miscalculated.</p>

<p>Also, with a match and a slight reach, is the essay gonna determine whether or not i get in or what? I dont think my essay is really gonna dazzle them. I dont really have much of a struggle, other than in geometry honors, and i honestly dont have really THAT much to contribute.</p>
