Elisokool16, since you're new it's excusable -- but it is usually in poor taste to 'hijack' someone's chance thread (e.g. posting your own stats and asking for chances). Rather, a better idea would be to make your own thread in the forum.

I'm an 08er and don't know where I'll get in yet, so I don't know how much my opinion is worth, but here goes! ;)

TheIndividual- your stats are pretty good but I think what will really help you is all the internships and the strong involvement in the Model UN. Sounds awesome!

Elisokool16- your stats are good but average-ish for WashU (b/c it is a top school! :) but you have done a lot of things connected to architecture. That proves you are really dedicated to your major, since you have already been involved in different work with it, which is often more important than basic statistics.
Also, I'm in the IB Diploma Program too, so I hope for both our sakes that they will understand how much work that is! Unfortunately, it is still not as recognized as AP but I think schools are beginning to realize how good of a program it is. What did you write your extended essay on? (Just curious :) )

Well, after I got deferred by UChicago -- I have seriously questioned my chances at pretty much everywhere. But thanks for the encouraging words!

shifted verbatim, my topic was "walt disney's vision and the extent of its fulfillment over the past half-century," -- it centers around walt's plan for the original epcot, the Experimental Prototype COmmunity of Tomorrow - - a futuristic city that would provide potential solutions to today's urban problems

Elisokool16- that sounds really interesting! I love hearing about people's extended essays, b/c they are all so different! I compared the use of narrator in Pride in Prejudice and a literary version of Beauty and the Beast- it was fun but I might shift my focus a little if I could do it over (not that I would want to write it again! ;)

Despite the fact that I don't love literature, your topic sounds incredibly interesting. I would definately read it. The thing with my topic is that I consider what I have put into it an accumulation of my life's knowledge on disney philosophy, vision, and parks. Mine is due this tuesday :(
