I'd say you're good matches for the schools you listed. A few of them, like Penn, Cornell, and and Washington, might be slight reaches, but you have good chances from the look of it.

By the way, is 3.42 your weighted or unweighted GPA? If possible, could you provide the other one as well? Also, it'd help if you gave a short description of your school (# of students in your grade, level of competition, etc.) To clarify, you took the ACT instead of the SAT, right? (or did you take both and forget to mention SATs)

It's weighted but my unweighted is not much different...it's hard to take many AP's before Senior year.
Well my school is in the best county is Georgia, we have about 500 students in our class. Very competitive, many of the top go to ivies.
I took my SAT's Sophomore year so I don't think Colleges will even regard it.

Yea it's about a 2100.
The thing about Carnegie Melon is that they don't look at Freshman Grades, which boosts my GPA a considerable amount. My GPA is actually above the average for the school i'm applying to within Carnegie.

yea i think you have a good shot at all those schools although penn/cornell will be a bit tougher than the rest. your minority status also helps
