So guys what are my chances, i have already submit my yale university early action
i plan on doing pre-med/ double major in Chem and Bio at yale university
Also chance me for other colleges, Thank You!!

What’s yor essay about? These top university emphasize more on essays than we would like to think.

Essays are great, i literally typed and edited 50 times to make perfect and story is also good too but i choose not to dismiss my topic on here.

The essay is quite important; I’ve heard stories about B-students who got into Harvard on account of a great essay. Read this book: [Write Your College Essay in Less Than a Day: Elizabeth Wissner-Gross: 9780345517272: Amazon.com: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Write-Your-College-Essay-Less/dp/034551727X)
The fact that you are an Asian may lower your chances.

Remember to check the SAT score reporting policies for all of your schools. Yale requires you to submit all of your SAT and SAT subject test scores.

Wondering how you even got the time to do all the things you do?

Anyway I think you have a pretty great shot at all of your schools (but of course, such schools are often difficult to predict). Just as long as you don’t blow up your essays ;)

yeah now i feel bad about my essays -_-, btw sophis7x it can happen when coffee is your best friend and you cut down on sleep :frowning: :frowning: ,

Vulcanpirate is that a good book?

Would you guys say Boston college is a safety??

The essay and your teacher recommendations will be the most important factor in your decision. You have the leadership skills, good scores, good grades, the only thing that will get you in (or keep you out) is how you come across as a person though your essays and teacher recommendations.

Looking at your application, I got the impression that you were an Asian applicant with incredibly high math and science scores, but with English skills that are simply average (possibly subpar) for the schools you looking at. Sadly, admissions officers are no more immune to the stereotypes we place on certain minority groups and as you know that has caused a well-documented impact on college admissions. You really run the risk of looking like an Asian applicant obsessed with math and science (Is taking every single subject test in math and science really necessary?).

If you want to be considered and get into one of these schools, you need to have a strong essay that provides insight into your character. If you can do that and not be just another “Asian applicant”, you could easily get into your first choice school.

It’s also good that you’re applying to a large amount of schools. Your stats are high enough that it would be extremely odd if you got rejected by all of them; you’ll probably get into a few.

It looks like you have a very good shot otherwise, keep up the hard work!

you have a solid chance at every school, just write decent essays lool

Thanks for they replys, do you think it will hurt me how me that one of the letter of reccomendation is from a teacher that does not know me too well even though i aced her class. my short ex-ciricular essay is how sports got my mind off the average school day and my chance to show how i carried my team.
