Chances and a few questions.

Okay, so in light of the ivy massacre that just took place last week, Its obvious that many many many people arent cut out for a top-notch education. I didnt apply to Dartmouth as a freshman because of my stats. However, I am very keen on getting in as a transfer, after just one year???

here are my Stats:

1750 SAT (570, 520,660)
SATII 550, 570

HS GPA ~3.0:(

I obviously had no shot. now, lets say I want to transfer after my first year here in my home country (very good university btw) and say im able to make 3.7+ for GPA. Im retaking the SATs in may. Aiming for 2000+. I have amazing ECs and Im a convincing guy when it comes to essays. Will I be able to make it in to Dartmouth after just one year of college. How will I be able to do it if the transfer deadlines are in March and I'd only have 1 semester worth of grades?????

To start with, you’ll probably have to add about 500 points to your SAT, not 250.

okay(i meant to write 2100 btw lol). How bout the fact that im applying in feb 2010. Is one semester of As( hopefully) enough to give them a concrete indication of my performance in college?

It’s highly unlikely after one year. You would need to do so well in college that the high school record will seem like a distant memory which is simply not possible in 1 year.

but then how bout all the people that transfer after one year?.. oh please no. I really cant stay here for more than a year. not at all! what if I engage in massive amounts of ECs, get brilliant reccomendation letters from professors, and write stupendous essays???

bumpety bump
