Chances and a few questions

Alright guys I just got my SAT scores back, so here is my current resume.

GT GPA: 3.53 (This is what it is going to be at the end of this year, but with the amount of AP's I'm taking next semester, I can easily get this into the 3.6's by January.)

SAT: Math-700
CR-680
W- 660
Total: 2040

Through my Jr year, I have taken 4 AP's and the rest have been either Gifted or Honors. My senior year course load is the following:
AP Econ, AP Lit, AP Calc AB, AP Stat, AP Bio, Gifted Internship (1 semester), and AP American Gov (1 semester).

EC's

Vice President/Co-founder of Career Club
President/Founder of Cricket Club
Member of Academic Decathlon
Vice President of History Club
Member of TSA and FBLA
Volunteered at 2 Atlanta area hospitals (200 hours)
Mentored Middle Schooler's at their school (50 hours)

Alright, so here are my questions:

Do I have a decent shot at admission with where I currently stand?

I can take the SAT's again in October, but then will I be able to apply ED?

Should I take Subject Tests in October or work on improving my SAT reasoning score?

Thanks guys.

Even in the 3.6’s is low for Tech, your SAT score is average, and your EC’s are average. I think there’s a very good chance you’ll be deferred early (a very low chance you’ll be rejected early), then I’m 50/50 on admission/rejection on regular decision, but leaning towards admission.

According to their website, the October SAT scores should arrive in time for Early Notification.

That’s up to you. However, GT doesn’t require subject tests and others on here have reportedly been told that subject tests are not considered for admission (though I somewhat doubt that), so I would work on improving that SAT I score to make up for the low GPA.

I disagree with the above post. I wouldn’t say In, but you have a very good chance with that mix of GPA/SAT. Your ECs are also good. I say you have a good shot.

I appreciate both of you guys for your honest responses. Tech is my dream school so I really hope I can get in.

Sounds like you are a lot like me then, in dream-school status as well as in transcript stats.

haha yup. Are you taking any SAT II’s?

Math 2 and Chemistry

I think I’m gonna do Math II and Writing.

Anyways, does anyone else have any opinions over whether I can get in? GP Burdell?

I don’t know my GT GPA, but you have about the same total SAT score as I did, much more community service, and a lot of leadership in your EC’s, and the same number of AP classes, so I’d say you have a good shot as well.

Definitely pull up SAT with that GPA,
I had a 3.44 GT GPA and a 2360 GT SAT and got in, so you should take advantage of GT SAT/ACT Super-duper score

Good Luck

What percent shot would yall give me as of my stats right now?

What percent shot would yall give me if i raised my SAT to a 2100 and my GPA to a 3.65?

Thanks for everything. As yall can see, getting into Tech is something that I really want.

50/50

Forget the SAT - get the UWGPA to 3.65/4.00 and I’d put you at 70/30.

Alright sounds good. I’ll have to work my ass off but it will be totally worth it.

Does GT look at 1st semester senior year?

If you don’t get in early (and I’m betting not), they will look at 1st semester. If you are waitlisted and accept a position on the waitlist, they will look at mid 2nd semester.
