Well, I recently visited Harvard and I loved it, but I'm not really sure that I'll be able to get in.

SAT: 640 Verbal, 720 Math, 700 Writing
SAT IIs: Will take in October
GPA: 4.0 (not weighted)
Rank: 1 out of about 375 (not sure off the top of my head)

Last year I took three AP tests: APUSH, AP English (Language and Composition), and AP Calculus. I scored 4, 5, and 5 respectively.
This next year, my senior year, I plan to take at least one more AP class (AP Econ and possibly AP Euro).
Our school only offers six AP classes, but I can't take the sixth (AP Enlgish - Literature and Compositon) because of scheduling, and they just added AP Euro last year which I highly doubt will fit into my schedule.

I've taken three years of math up to AP Calculus, but I can't fit any math classes in this year. I've taken two years of science (Bio and Chem) and plan to take Physics this year. I've taken two years of Japanese and plan to take the third this year, which is the highest level offered and which is only offered every other year at my school.

Extracurricular:
- Member of NHS, but I only do 22 hours of service each year.
- Member of Band
- Jazz Band (last year I got a Jazz Musician of the Year award) - alto sax
- Marching Band (flute section leader)
- Pit Orchestra (flute 1)
- and other stuff including pep band and parades, and of course symphonic band

I know that my SAT scores are kind of low, but I'm thinking of retaking them. I'd like to apply for Early Admittance to Harvard, but if I retake the SATs, I'd have to apply for Regular Admittance. Advice, anyone??

I know that my stats aren't as good as most who apply to Harvard, even though I'm one of the top students at our school, but I'd love to go to a very competitive school - especially one that has the culture and passion that Harvard seemed to.
